Galway Bay fm newsroom – Almost 360 motorists in Galway had speeding charges against them struck out because summons were not served by Gardai.
The cases fell over a three-month period this year according to the Department of Justice.
Today’s Irish Independent reports the motorists not only avoided a conviction, but also the penalty points that would have been applied to their licences.
It comes a day after it was revealed that almost 2,000 Galway drivers avoided penalty points by failing to produce their licence in court.
