A meeting took place this afternoon (23/10) for parents of teenage girls who claim that there are serious negative health implications associated with the HPV cervical cancer vaccine.
Galway senator Fidelma Healy-Eames organised the meeting for parents who feel their daughters have suffered since receiving the vaccine.
Many parents claim the girls can no longer participate in daily activities.
Senator Healy-Eames says her own daughter received the vaccine but didn’t have any adverse effects.
The meeting took place at the Maldron Hotel in Oranmore.
Senator Healy-Eames says it appears that an HSE inquiry is warranted.
