Galway Bay Fm news-A youth has been treated for injuries following an alleged early morning attack in Tuam.
The alleged attack is said to have taken place at Dublin Road near the entrace to the Mercy Convent Primary School at approximately 5.50 am today.
The injured youth was taken to University College Hospital A&E Department where he was treated for his injuries and later discharged.
It is alleged that the perprator on the assault escaped from the scene across the Mercy Convent grounds in the direction of Tuam Cathedral.
Tuam Gardai are seeking witnesses from anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the Dublin Road area near the main entrance to the Mercy Convent schools between 5.45 and 6.15 today.
