Galway Bay fm newsroom – 13-year-old Moycullen singer Aimee Banks is preparing to represent Ireland at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Bulgaria this evening.
Aimee, her family and supporters are in Sofia in Bulgaria for the prestigious contest.
Tonight, the Coláiste na Coiribe student will perform ‘Réalta na Mara’, a song she co-wrote with Niall Mooney, Jonas Gladnikoff and Brendan McCarthy.
Aimee was also recently awarded first place in the international vocal competition ‘American Protégé’ and will perform at Carnegie Hall on December 19th as a result.
The Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be broadcast live on TG4 at 6.30 this evening.
