Galway Bay fm newsroom – A ‘Status Yellow’ wind warning remains in place for Galway today.
Met Éireann has issued the alert for Galway and other counties along the western seaboard.
The forecaster says southwest winds will gradually strengthen as the day goes on and tonight gusts of up to 90 kilometres per hour are possible.
The wind warning will remain in place until 8 o’ clock tomorrow morning.
