Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway gardaí are warning people about a new distraction theft at ATMs in the city and county.
Several reports have been made to gardaí in recent weeks, where people have been taking money out of an ATM when their bank cards are taken.
Anyone who may have noticed any suspicious behaviour while queueing at an ATM is urged to contact the local garda station.
Sergeant Peadar Ryan of Galway Garda station has details of the latest scheme being operated by the thieves.
