Galway Bay fm newsroom – The 2016 General election campaign is well underway with all parties setting out their stall to voters.
Posters are going up around the country after the 31st Dáil was dissolved this morning.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny took to twitter to confirm we’ll vote on Friday the 26th.
The 32nd Dáil will convene on Thursday March 10th.
This time around, Galway will move away from the traditional two constituenies, as part of East Galway becomes part of a new Roscommon-Galway constituency.
Galway West will see 19 candidates battle it out for 5 seats, 9 candidates will contest the 3 seats in Galway East, while a further 8 will fight for one of three seats in Roscommon Galway.
Enda Kenny has again re-iterated that the choice for voters is on the economy.
