Unemployment in Galway was down last month despite slight increases in previous months.
According to the Central Statistics Office there are 15,956 people out of work in the city and county, a drop of 221 on January’s figure.
The biggest drop in unemployment last month was in Tuam where 68 people came off the Live Register.
There are now 2,300 people out of work in Tuam.
A drop of 56 was seen on the Live Register in the city last month, leaving its jobless figure at just over 8,000.
Loughrea saw a decrease of 47 on its unemployment figure in February.
There are now just over 1,500 people out of work in Loughrea.
There was a slight decrease in unemployment in Ballinasloe last month, where 21 people came off the Live Register.
Ballinasloe now has a jobless figure of just under 1,900.
In Clifden, 16 people came off the Live Register last month, leaving its unemployment figure at 980.
The smallest decrease in unemployment last month was in Gort, where 13 people came off the Live Register.
There are now just over 1,100 people out of work in Gort.
Overall there are 15,956 people out of work in the city and county, a drop of 11 per cent on the same time last year.
