Galway Bay fm newsroom – Enda Kenny has succeeded in being re-elected as Taoiseach.
The vote this afternoon was 59 to 49 in favour of the Fine Gael party leader.
It’s understood Galway -Roscommon T.D Michael Fitzmaurice abstained in the vote with Deputy Seán Canney expected to vote in favour.
The formation of the Cabinet will be announced later today.
