A file is being prepared for the DPP in relation to a hit and run in Carraroe.
A man handed himself in to Gardai yesterday following a public appeal.
The incident took place at 3am yesterday (Monday) when a male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle at Bothar Bui in Carraroe.
The man was taken to UHG where he was treated for a leg injury.
He is aged in his twenties and handed himself into Gardai last evening following a public appeal for witnesses.
He has since been released without charge and a file is being prepared for the DPP.
A car has also been seized as part of the Garda investigation.
