Fire crews tackled a blaze this morning at the site of the former Shannon Oaks Hotel in Portumna.
Emergency services arrived at the scene shortly after 6am.
It’s understood the fire broke out at a number of apartments currently being renovated to the rear of the former hotel.
It’s believed the properties are currently all vacant and no injuries have been reported.
Two units of the Portumna fire service remain at the scene this morning.
The Shannon Oaks Hotel closed in 2011 after it was severely damaged in a major blaze in September of that year.
