Galway Bay fm newsroom – Some businesses have raised concerns that their sales are suffering due to the closure of the Dunnes Stores entrance at Edward Square in the city.
The entrance to the Eyre Square shopping centre through Dunnes Stores has been closed since last week.
Galway Bay fm news visited the store this afternoon, and was told that the entrance closure was due to ‘operational issues.’
Dunnes Stores has not yet responded to requests for a statement on the matter.
Some businesses in the Edward Square area say footfall is reduced as a result of the entrance closure, and fear it will have a negative impact on their trading.
