Transport Minister postpones meeting with residents on city bypass plans

Galway Bay fm newsroom – A meeting between the Transport Minister and Galway residents affected by the planned city bypass has been postponed.
Homeowners were due to meet with Minister Paschal Donohue in the Dáil this evening, but due to scheduling issues, the date had to be changed.
The meeting has been postponed to this day next week.
It’s hoped the meeting will give residents an opportunity to express their concerns and explain the impact of the road project on their lives.
The Minister has previously said that he has no role in a decision in relation to the project.
Speaking to Keith Finnegan, Galway West TD Brian Walsh says the minister made efforts to reschedule a meeting for this morning, but it had to be postponed until next week.
