Galway Bay fm newsroom – A Galway West TD has suggested that Galway Courthouse could be used as a future arts space for the city.
Labour TD Derek Nolan claims the courts service is in discussion with the Office of Public Works in a bid to identify a new location for the court house.
He argues the existing venue is not meeting space requirements and the location does not provide for an extension.
Deputy Nolan says the current building could be used by the arts community as a dedicated exhibition or arts space:
