Galway Bay fm newsroom – Construction is set to begin before the end of the year on a long awaited new building for Clifden Community School.
The project has now been retendered by the Department of Education’s design team after encountering previous setbacks.
The school was built in 1979 and does not meet modern day standards.
The new build will cost 10 million euro and will cater for up to 400 students.
Galway West Fine Gael TD Sean Kyne says it will take 18 months to complete.
