Galway Bay fm newsroom – A cornerstone building of the beleagured Parkmore Business Park is up for sale for almost four million euro.
Building 5 at Parkmore is currently leased to international med-tech giant Medtronic and yields an annual rent of almost half a million euro.
The 54 thousand square foot building, which consists of two-storey offices, a warehouse and 61 car parking spaces, is now on the market for 3.75 million euro.
However, potential investors will likely be keeping an eye on the traffic situation at the business park as the current crisis is set to reach boiling point.
Planning permission was granted last month for a long-awaited new link road, but that decision has been appealed – meaning it could be autumn before any works can get underway.
Road rage incidents at Parkmore are on the increase, as many commuters are forced to wait up to an hour to travel just several hundred meters at peak times.
A raft of short term measures are being introduced to try and alleviate the pressure in the meantime, but business leaders are warning that there’s no magic solution to the crisis.
