Computer giant Apple has six months to provide further information in relation to its plan for a major data storage centre in Athenry.
Galway County Council has requested further detail on a list of nine items concerning the development at Palmerstown, Tobberroe and Derrydonnell.
The development provides for a single storey data centre, a logistic and administration building and a security hut.
There will also be 18 external standby generators as well as an electricity substation.
Of the nine items queried by county planners, Apple is asked to provide a workplace travel plan which is line with national policy.
The firm is also required to justify the requirement for 18 generators.
There are also queries concerning the environmental impact statement as well as the plan for wastewater treatment.
The data centre is forecast to open in 2017 and will be the biggest such Apple centre in Europe, representing an investment of 850 million euro.
