Galway Bay fm newsroom – Galway County Council has completed less than two percent of it’s mortgage-to-rent applications.
Figures compiled by the Irish Times show the county local authority has completed just one out of 74 applications or 1.3 percent.
Galway County Council is followed by Cork County Council which has completed three out of 161 applications or 1.8 percent.
The highest proportion completed is recorded by Waterford County Council with eight out of 110 applications complete – or 7.3 percent.
Just under three thousand cases of borrowers in severe mortgage arrears were put forward for the scheme by the end of last week.
Out of these, just 110 or three percent have been complete.
