Galway Bay fm newsroom – Fianna Fáil TD Eamon O Cuív has hit out at the continuing delay in finalising the 2015 Fishery Harbour and Coastal Infrastructure Development Plan.
Under the scheme councils must complete upgrades and repairs by the end of the year.
Marine Minister Simon Coveney announced the scheme in February, but a decision has not yet being made on what piers are in need of repairs.
Deputy O Cuiv is urging Minister Coveny to make a decision soon due to the pressure it will place on local authorities to complete the work in such a short timeframe.
